Today I headed out to the Street Art Festival with fellow blogger from A Transguy in Richmond, who has been snagging photos and video at more than 20 of the G40 murals over the past week.

Ledbury Party

I had the pleasure of attending a lively party at Ledbury’s in Shockoe Bottom last night. Ledbury is an upscale men’s clothing store that has been getting lots of great press lately, including this write up from the Richmond Times-Dispatch last year.

Here is Brian McDaniel of the much-loved Richmond blog Dirty Richmond. The owners of Ledbury’s claim to stop by the site at least once a day.

Also in attendance was Nick Ghobashi, well-known for his work with skateboarders in the city, both photographically and politically.

I had a chance to say hi the owner of South of the James farmer’s market, my favorite writer from Richmond magazine and a couple of other folks I know.

Also, lots of beautiful women and dead animals.

Bermuda Triangles @ Strange Matter

This WRIR benefit show was great! Bermuda Triangles, one of the best up and coming bands in the city, ROCKED our faces.

Japanther was the headliner, but the body heat and humidity was so intense that my lenses fogged up!

Sierra Nevadas & the Tahoe Basin

My annual trip into the Sierra Nevadas was breathtaking. There are a thousand ways to look at the landscape, and they are all beautiful.

This time I decided to try a solo hike, which quickly turned into a solo climb. It was not a wise decision to keep going after I realized that I was going to be making my way up steep rock faces in freezing weather with a 30lb pack on my back. Had I seriously hurt myself, no one would have known where I was. Thankfully, all went well and I came back with these shots from the 4-hour climb.
